What Is Hypnosis, and what does it feel like?

Hypnosis is learning how to use naturally occurring states, in a directed and intentional way.

It is about increasing focus and using the deeper subconscious mind, to deeply embed new thoughts, behaviours and habits.

My goal is to teach you how to be more effective in managing and changing automatic behaviours, thoughts, and feelings.

We will do this through guided instructions and suggestions.

And we will make use of the feeling of relaxation to do this.

Some people say that they notice an intense feeling of relaxation, or even floating.

Others notice that it is like sitting in a chair listening to me talk. 🙂

There is no right or wrong way to experience hypnosis.

You will feel comfortable and relaxed, yet quite aware.

Our work will start with an assessment of your strengths and desired changes

In my experience, my sessions often provide the breakthrough needed for people who have previously struggled to make change.

Each session will be focused on helping you master solutions and create resources that just become the new way that you do things.

During your sessions, we will meet 1-1 (in person or online).

Sessions will include a comfortably relaxing yet powerful hypnosis experience,
tailored to your goals.

Most appointments last about 60 minutes.

(Please plan for the first appointment to be 90 minutes.)

My goal is to provide you with the most effective hypnosis process
and the most efficient use of your time.

I will teach you other helpful modalities and self-help methods.

These will be tools that once, learned you will be able to use to help you with all kinds of issues in the future – long after these long after our live, interactive sessions.

Support is available between sessions, if needed.

Hypnosis is not “mind control.” 

No one, not even the very best hypnotist, could MAKE you change your habits or behaviours that you don’t want to.

All hypnosis is self-hypnosis, and the responsibility of change is shared.

Doctors don’t guarantee that you will get well.

Teachers can’t guarantee that you will learn.

But I can guarantee the best service using the latest in research, evidence-based strategies for change, and appropriate hypnotic techniques for your situation.

Time is precious

Everyone is different, works at different pace and has a unique life experience.

You will experience benefits from the very first session.

It is normal for people to work with me for between 1 to 4 sessions.

However, many choose to continue working after that.

Sometimes this is to deepen the work, to cover other issues, or to simply maintain that investment of time for themselves.

My goal is always to get you the best results in the shortest time and give you the resources to make that happen.
